The extreme world of YouTuber Lane Myers got a little stranger on Monday as his loyal followers called for a brigading of his own defense counsel after supporter Eliminate the Dark posted a call to action complaining about Myers's alleged treatment by defense attorney Mark "the Shark" Resnick. She posted "Eliminate the Dark telephone number redacted. Mr. Mark Resnick is messing around. He has been telling Lane he'd reach out for 5 days now and nothing. To make everything worse, a motion needs filed today. If y'all want to reach out to Resnick and ask him kindly to reach out to Lane because we are not going to let him drop the ball on this. This is Lane's life and freedom Resnick is messing with. If Lane was free, we all know the motions would be filed accurately and timely." Resnick served as Myers's standby counsel last year during his trial for multiple counts of harassing and stalking the wife of a Tucson area prosecutor. Myers demanded his appointment to replace his previous court-appointed attorney during the trial. The attorney had been appointed as Myers's attorney during both Myers's attempt to modify the conditions of his probation and the state's attempt to revoke his probation. The Eliminate the Dark YouTube account is one of many accounts run by Myers's friend that update his status while in jail or repost his content while he's free. This particular account has effectively replaced Josh Gray's This is a public service account as the primary source of Myers news since Gray again was implicated in Myers's alleged probation violations. Myers has been banned from contacting Gray as part of his probation conditions. YouTuber Murbees, who is a licensed attorney in the state of California, took issue with Eliminate the Dark's calls for call flooding of attorney Resnick, noting that brigading of an already busy attorney would only delay contact with his client further. No motions were filed on Myers's behalf as of close of business on Monday. Myers himself was taken into custody by his probation officer last week for probation violations and spent most of last week in the Pima County, Arizona Adult Correction Facility without bond. His initial appearance hearing was combined with his arraignment on the probation violations on Friday, which upheld the order to keep Myers in jail without bond for the duration of the proceedings. Minute notes of that hearing obtained by Really Cool News, along with a call to the courthouse by our reporter Judy You Got This, corrected upcoming hearing dates for the Lane Myers experience.
