What's up and welcome back to cameras everywhere. I just want to draw your attention to a phrasing used by police so often It's disgusting and makes me absolutely sick It's a phrase used by police everywhere as a pretext to violating fundamental rights the phrasing goes we don't know that you're not or we don't know if or How do we know that you're not and many many other? variations as in we don't know that you're not wanted or How do we know that you're not casing the place or how do I know what you're doing? Or even how do we know that you're not a terrorist now these lines of police questioning mean at least a couple things First off it means we don't know the facts or we don't have reasonable articulable suspicion or we don't have probable cause but more to not! It means this you must prove your innocence or else This phrasing that you'll find in police work everywhere disposes with the fundamental right of a presumption of innocence and replaces it with the presumption of guilt it takes the due process legal principle of innocent until proven guilty and Inverts it into the tyranny of guilty until proven innocent so the next time you interact with the police or just watch an interaction with The police listen carefully and you'll find out exactly what sort of monsters are under the bed until next time Thank you for watching cameras everywhere beware enemies of the people and remember police fear the law!!!!! ! ! ! !
